NEW BERLIN – The Unadilla Valley Storm girls soccer team hosted Sidney on senior night, where they celebrated in a winning fashion 4-0.
Seniors Kailee Figger and Kadence York each scored two goals in the win. York scored back-to-back goals but 28 minutes apart from each other. Her second goal was assisted by Myriah Taylor on a cross pass.
Figger, on the other hand, waited until the final minutes of the first half. She scored off a pass from Natalie Crandall with around five minutes to go. She didn’t stop there as she scored with less than two minutes left.
In the second half, York almost had a hat-trick with seconds to go in the game, but when the shot went in, time had expired.
At halftime, seniors Kadence York, Pyper Kneale, Kailee Figger, and Emily Nichols were honored for their dedication to the Storm soccer program.
These seniors and the rest of the dominantly young team look to continue their success, riding on only one loss, as they are right back at it hosting Delhi this afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
