GREENE – Greene Central Schools District officials have announced the implementation of a new cloud-based technology aimed at improving community access to the Districts’ governance process while saving staff time and taxpayer dollars.
The new platform, BoardDocs, allows the District to maximize the effectiveness of board meetings with increased transparency, providing a basis for better and more open communication with the public—all while dramatically improving productivity and saving thousands of dollars annually.
BoardDocs is an easy-to-use paperless agenda database platform that leverages cloud-based access with an intuitive workflow specifically designed to meet the unique needs and legal requirements of the District.
“Ease of access and transparency of school Board-related information are two areas of concern that our community members have shared with us,” said Timothy Calice, GCS Superintendent of schools. “In response to that, our administrative team and Board of Education members together have worked diligently to strategize a path to improve in those areas. Implementation of BoardDocs does that by providing our community with better access to minutes, agendas and other Board information in a timely fashion.”
BoardDocs empowers Interested parties who wish to review information prior to meetings. After the meeting, individuals can review the agenda items and see what action the board took, complete with voting results. All documents associated with the meeting are automatically archived and can be accessed by date or by using the system’s comprehensive Search feature.
In addition, the new platform enhances the knowledge base of the Board by offering access to best practices from other organizations that utilize the platform, offering an insightful glimpse at initiatives that other Districts might have considered and implemented.
“The platform provides unprecedented public access via the website to agenda items and other board-related information,” said Calice.

Past Board of Education documents will remain publicly available for review and download at their current location on the same page until archival date as prescribed by law.
