OTSELIC – The New York State Police and the Chenango County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of multiple stabbings in the very early hours of Wednesday morning.
An initial call reported the stabbings occurred at about 1:24 a.m., Wednesday, at a residence in the Town of Otselic.
State police, who are investigating the incident, reported that two victims of a domestic disturbance were transported to a local hospital for treatment and are currently in stable condition.
Another person, a suspect in the case, is being held in custody.
Troopers released few details Wednesday morning and no charges or arrests were announced.
“New York State Police at Norwich are investigating a reported domestic incident that led to the stabbing of two individuals in the town of Otselic early this morning,” reported police. “There is no threat to the public.”
Police said Wednesday morning the investigation was “preliminary and ongoing,” and that more information will be provided when it is available.
