NORWICH — The Chenango County Historical Society (CCHS) invites community members to purchase a shopping pass for Boscov’s annual “Friends Helping Friends” event to be held on October 19.
Priced at just $5 each, 100 percent of the proceeds from passes sold by CCHS go directly to support operations at the museum, located at 45 Rexford Street.
“Friends Helping Friends” shopping passes are good for 25 percent off nearly all purchases made on October 19. (Certain exclusions may apply; complete details are printed on the shopping pass.)
“Friends Helping Friends” runs from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. at all 50 Boscov’s locations in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island. “Friends Helping Friends” shoppers are also eligible to win $100 Boscov’s Gift Cards at each store location.
“We are always grateful for this annual fundraiser, and this unique partnership with Boscov’s is a win-win for everyone,” said Jessica Moquin, CCHS executive director. “Shopping pass holders get a head start on holiday shopping during the ‘Friends Helping Friends’ event, and our organization receives essential financial support.”
“Friends Helping Friends” shopping passes to support CCHS are available for purchase in person or through the online Museum Shop by visiting ChenangoHistorical.org/product/friends-helping-friends.
First established in 1939, CCHS is the primary organization dedicated to actively and comprehensively preserving the history of Chenango County. The area’s premier heritage museum, the organization celebrates local culture – unique traditions, noteworthy residents, and unusual stories of the region.
CCHS programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
