BAINBRIDGE – On Tuesday, Norwich, Unadilla Valley/GMU, along with Afton/Harpursville/BG, all competed at the General Clinton Park race in Bainbridge.
In the girls race, Afton/Harpursville/BG led the way with 15 points. Ethne Degan earned first place with a time of 20:45. Behind her in fourth place was teammate Madison Fleming and Vanessa Brazee in fifth place.
Norwich’s Anne Boland achieved seventh place with a time of 24:46 with Kyra Brunick-Davis a second behind her in eighth place (24:47). Afton/H/BG’s Jaelin Brown finished in 10th place.
For the boys, Norwich came in second place with 53 points behind Delhi.
Norwich’s Drew Brooks earned second place with a time of 18:22 behind Delhi’s Vincent VanMaaren (17:44). Caden Sutton came in sixth place while his brother Zander Sutton finished in ninth.
Afton/Harpursville/BG’s Jacob Krejcir finished in fourth place with a time of 18:47.
UV/GMU had some runners on the board as Kristian Stachura finished below the top 10 in 14th place. Brian Wilson was behind Stachura in 15th place with teammate Alex Kemnah in 17th place.
Norwich and UV/GMU will be at Maine-Endwell this afternoon while Afton/Harpursville/BG will be competing at Rochester on Saturday.
