NORWICH — Chenango Arts Council is getting in the Halloween Spirit by hosting bewitching events all October long.
Wednesdays, October 12, 19, and 26, the Council will team with Guernsey Memorial Library to show free Halloween movies in the Martin W. Kappel Theater. This will mark the fourth year of them doing so, as well as providing complementary popcorn.
“There always seems to be a bit of theme to the films we pick,” muses CAC’s Mary Beth Miller. “This year, I’d say it is star power. We’ve got Basil Rathbone, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jr., even Jack Haley!”
The movies presented will be Son of Frankenstein on October 12, One Body Too Many on October 19, and The Wolfman on October 26, all beginning at 7 p.m.
Chenango Arts Council is also offering a paint and sip style workshop on Saturday, October 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuition is $20 and includes all supplies, instruction, and light refreshments.
Registration is required and can be done at ChenangoArts.org or by calling 607-336-2787.
All events take place at Chenango Arts Council, located at 27 West Main Street in Norwich.
