NHS Swimming Falls To Oneonta On Senior Night

NORWICH – Last Thursday, the Norwich Purple Tornado girls swim team suffered a 107-58 loss to Oneonta. Despite the loss, Norwich celebrated its two senior swimmers. Regan Finnegan and Adrianna Palmer were honored and thanked for their dedication and commitment to the Norwich swim program.

Finnegan and Palmer had a steady meet after being recognized. Finnegan achieved second place in the 200 individual medley. She also joined Julia Llewellyn, Mikayla Sastri, and Nina Kman to earn the top finish for the 400 freestyle relay.

Adrianna Palmer finished fifth in the 200 individual medley while coming in second in the 100 breaststroke behind teammate Meghan Funk in first place.

Nina Kman came out with two top finishes in both the 200 freestyle event (by a second) and in the 100 freestyle.

Aurora Shtrauch, along with Funk, Llewellyn, and Sastri, finished in second in the 200 medley relay, just a few seconds short of first (2:11.73) with a time of 2:13.37. Shtrauch also earned third in the backstroke.
