OXFORD – After the tough loss to UV, who remains undefeated, the Oxford Blackhawks Volleyball team has been on a roll with wins against Harpursville/Afton, Sidney, and now Hancock/Deposit.
The Blackhawks defeated the Eagles 3-1 in the Semi-finals of the MAC Volleyball playoffs on Tuesday. Ava Benjamin led the way with 25 assists, along with three aces.
It was a nice night for digs as Madalyn Barrows earned 17 and Jadyn Ruff had 16. Tamera Hurlburt finished with 10 digs while Hailey Richardson collected eight and Anaiya Davis helped out with six.
Barrows concluded her stellar night with 14 kills and three blocks while Ruff and Hurlburt each earned four kills. Quinnlin LaMonica contributed to the win with eight kills, three aces, and a block.
Standing tall at 9-1, Oxford prepares for a rematch against Unadilla Valley for the MAC volleyball championship. The match will be held on Saturday at Delhi College starting at 6 p.m. Admission will be charged; $3 for Students, $5 for adults, and anyone under 10 will get in for free.
