NORWICH – In their first home game of the 2022 season, the Norwich Purple Tornado girls basketball team gave their home crowd something to cheer about with a 57-31 victory over Seton Catholic.
The Purple Tornado picked up their second win of the season, which came at the right time as they played fierce on defense. They only allowed 14 points in the first three quarters of the game, which allowed them to set into a comfortable lead.
Olivia Schiraldi led Norwich with 14 points as Emma Urgo finished with 10. Josey Ryan, who received All-tournament honors at the Maine-Endwell tournament, had nine points in the win over Seton.
Norwich (2-2) looks to keep up their momentum against Sidney on Friday at 7 p.m.
