NEW BERLIN – The Unadilla Valley Storm hosted Oxford/Greene to begin the 2022 bowling season with both boys and girls bowling teams winning on 4-0 sweeps.
For the boys, Jacob Prentice led the Storm to a 2966-2492 victory. Prentice bowled a 212, 205, and a 234 to achieve a team-best 651 series. Behind him was Will Rumovicz with a 593 series who opened up the contest with a 235 in the first game.
Oxford/Greene’s Nick Flynn bowled a 563 series in the loss.
Pyper Kneale and Brynn Grant paved the way for the UV girls in a 2654-2446 victory. Kneale bowled an impressive 243 in the first game and finished with a 616 while Grant had a 213 and a 204 in the last two games to earn a 604 series. Halia Tallett bowled a team-best 613 series for Oxford/Greene.
UV will be participating in the Bainbridge-Guilford tip-off tournament over the weekend while Oxford/Greene will be hosting Hancock next Tuesday, December 13 at 3:45 p.m.
