SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville Marauders hosted Cooperstown on Monday evening, where the Hawkeyes took a 72-60 victory.
S-E stayed up tempo with Cooperstown for a majority of the game. But when the Hawkeyes put up 22 points in the final eight minutes, S-E couldn’t stand their ground and failed to regain confidence on either end of the court. Nor could they stop Cooperstown’s Charlie Lambert who excelled with 27 points.
S-E’s Rylan Sigman, Jack Rodman, and Darren Miles continue to show leadership as the core three. Sigman led the Marauders with 18 points while Rodman and Miles tied with nine. S-E also appreciated going to the free-throw line, where they made 13 of 22 shots.
S-E (2-5) looks to bounce back against Westmoreland on Thursday at 7 p.m.
