DEPOSIT – For Dave Gorton and his Greene Trojans girls basketball team, the 2022-2023 season has brought on great success. The Trojans are rolling along their undefeated campaign with a dominating 53-10 win over Deposit-Hancock. After Oxford’s undefeated streak came to an end, Greene remains the only MAC team without a loss through eight games this season.

The 10 points given up are the lowest Greene has allowed this season, making their defense quite unstoppable and helped their offense maintain control.

The Trojans were led by Payton Yahner with 16 points while Cassie Butler scored 11 points. Butler was also able to find luck with knocking down three three-point shots in the win. Josie Dutcher also returned to the lineup and finished with eight points.

Greene (8-0) will host Unatego on Friday at 7 p.m. where they will have three straight home games up until January 18.
