CHENANGO COUNTY – Coming off winter break, the Sherburne-Earlville Marauders were back on the lanes. Unfortunately, their undefeated streak had ended in their first match of the 2023 year to New York Mills (2776-2480) on Tuesday. While that loss hurt, S-E fought back to win against Cooperstown on Thursday.
Olivia Fehlner bowled a season-best of a 649 series, including a 259 in the final game in the loss to NY Mills. NY Mills’ bowlers were consistent with 511 and above scores to take the victory.
Jacob Jenkins stepped up in the match against Cooperstown and led all scorers with a high series of 559. Fehlner finished behind him with a 496.
S-E is now 6-1 overall and still undefeated at 4-0 in CSC Division II.
S-E will face Clinton on Thursday, January 12 at 3:45 p.m.
