BAINBRIDGE – In their first MAC meeting of the season, the Bainbridge-Guilford boys basketball team hosted Unadilla Valley, where the Bobcats came out on top 53-40.
The Bobcats came into this matchup ready to play as they came out striking with 19 points in the first before letting UV catch up in the second quarter, but held on to a 29-23 lead at halftime.
B-G stayed strong throughout the second half with the help of James Hogroian, Ilias Wilson, and Garrett O’Hara who all posted double-digit scoring. Hogroian scored 13 points and collected 13 rebounds while Wilson had 11 points and O’Hara with 10. Even though he only had nine points in the contest, Isaac Seiler knocked down three three-point shots. The Bobcats’ eight three’s in total helped secure the victory over UV’s one.
UV had a strong second quarter with making six free-throws and 14 points in total. The Storm was led by Kaden Butts with 12 points while Haywood Edwards had eight. Butts continues to prove himself as a starter in his final season.
