BAINBRIDGE – On Wednesday, the Bainbridge-Guilford bowling teams hosted Deposit, where the boys put up an impressive 3008 score (3008-1742) and the girls fell short 1649-1385.
Coach Sammy Ventura said the boys’ 3008 is close to the highest of 3011 that he’s seen in his five year tenure with the team. He also has been so proud of these group of kids who keep working on getting better every match.
For the boys, Collin Dicks, Ryan Larsen, and William Hunter struck a 604 or better high series with Dicks taking the overall series of a 678. Dicks bowled a team-high of a 248 in the final game while having a 236 in the second of three. He has been rolling with a 198 average that’s expected to increase by the next match.
The B-G girls may only have three bowlers, but these ladies have been committed all season and have been striving to do the best of their abilities. Catherine Fuller led the team with a 595 series, including a 238 in the final game, but it was Railey Odell that improved the most. Odell achieved a personal new high series and high game. She bowled a 477 high series with a 145 in the first game, a 183 in the second, and finished with a 149 in the final game.
B-G will be back at it on Friday when they host Afton/Harpursville at 3:45 p.m.
