SIDNEY – The Norwich Purple Tornado bowling teams were back on the lanes on Thursday evening, hosting Chenango Valley. The boys earned their highest three game series of the season with a 2841-2120 victory, including their highest score of a 1012 in the final game. The girls suffered a 5-0 loss to the Warriors (2207-1850).
For the Norwich boys, Spencer Root led the pack with a 608 high series that featured a 232 in his final game. Pat White finished behind him with a 602 series with a 216 in the first of three games.
Andie Mucha led the Norwich girls with a 452 series as the team has run into a funk lately where they cannot seem to achieve the high scores as a whole like they did in the beginning of the season. But, Coach Kyle Ellis believes that they will be coming out of it soon and back on track in the next few matches to come.
Norwich has three regular season matches left, including their next match against Chenango Forks on Tuesday, January 17 at 3:40 p.m.
