BAINBRIDGE – History was made in Friday’s matchup between the Bainbridge-Guilford and the Afton/Harpursville bowling teams. The Bobcats boys team achieved their highest score of all-time with a 3218-2126 victory while the girls earned a 1357-1192 win with just three bowlers.
The boys, who improved to 26-6 on the season, bowled dominantly with 586 or higher scores. Collin Dicks finished with a high series of 693 to lead the Bobcats, including a 244 in the first game and a 254 in the second game. Konnor Schmidt bowled the highest game of the afternoon with a 255 in the second of three games and finished with a 655 series.
For the girls, they took all four games as a team of three talented bowlers. They have been fighting all season and are 9-23. Catherine Fuller had the high series of a 588 with a 204 in the first game before finishing with a 202 in the final game. Railey Odell finished behind her with a 406 while Sophie Gold achieved a 363.
B-G believes success will continue to come with several matches ahead, including a tough matchup against Unadilla Valley on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.
