NEW BERLIN - The Unadilla Valley Storm bowling team celebrated its seniors in the win over Deposit on Friday afternoon.
The boys honored Blake Wright, Owen Hill, Nic Haggerty, Will Rumovicz, and Andrew Grant while the girls celebrated Pyper Kneale and Kailee Figger. All seniors have helped contribute success for UV this season and throughout their high school careers.
All five seniors were in the lineup for the boys, who had no problem taking the sweep by a total score of 2875-2159. Blake Wright bowled the best series in the contest with a 600, including a 206 in the second game. With a bit lower scoring than normal, Will Rumovicz finished behind him with a 587 with a 206 and a 234 on the day.
Jacob Prentice and Nate Rumovicz were used as subs in place of Grant and Haggerty. Prentice bowled a best-256 in the second game to finish his two-game stint with a 458 series.
For the girls, they took a 2912-1172 victory to stay undefeated on the season. Kailee Figger led all scorers with a 640 high series, including a 202 in the first game before finishing with a 241. Fellow senior Pyper Kneale finished with a 522 series with a 227 in the final game.
UV will be on the road against Downsville on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.
