NORWICH — George E. Hitchcock celebrated his 100th birthday on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Calvary Baptist Church Family Center surrounded by his family, friends and past co-workers. George was born January 27, 1923, and lived in Norwich, New York his whole life. He worked for Bennett Ireland, was a private electrician, and was a paid fireman for Norwich as well as a volunteer.
