AFTON – The Unadilla Valley Storm bowling team continues to shine and is not breaking any confidence late in the season as they swept Afton/Harpursville for the second time this year.
The boys played strong with four out of five bowlers achieving 613 or better series scores and were able to achieve the 3096-2227 victory. Owen Hill led the Storm with a 691 high series, including a 256 in the first game and a 253 in the second.
Jacob Prentice bowled two 203 games and a 215 in the second to finish behind Hill with a 621. Prentice is second in the MAC league with a 215.4 average.
The Storm girls cannot be beat as they roll on with a 44-0 record through an undefeated season. They dominated with a 2658-1696 victory over Afton/Harpursville.
Pyper Kneale paved the way with a 595 high series, including a 220 in the second game. She is currently fifth on the MAC league averages list with a 186.7. Phalen Hill bowled a 213 in the final game to finish with a 541 series. She is just above Kneale in fourth with a 187.5 average. Brynn Grant reigns the average list with a 195 and finished with a 526 series on the day.
UV will be right back on the lanes this afternoon, hosting Hancock at 3:45 p.m.
