MILFORD – After a rough game against Mount Markham on Monday, the Sherburne-Earlville Lady Marauders were grateful for a quick turn around in a 44-28 win over Milford.
In the non-league match-up, S-E outscored the Wildcats 19-6 in the first half, including holding them to zero points in the first quarter. With their defense continuing to be on top of things, including only allowing three points to start the second half, it gave the Marauders’ offense room to settle in.
Junior Hannah Todd-Rogers drove the offense as she posted 14 points and went 7-for-10 in field goal shooting. She also achieved her ninth double-double on the season with 11 rebounds. Chesnee Miller finished behind with 10 points.
With four games remaining, including tonight’s game against Waterville, the 7-9 Marauders know they need to continue to play fierce on both ends of the court.
Tonight, S-E will honor seniors Kayleigh Rood and Trinity Thornton prior to the 6 p.m. start. S-E lost the previous match-up against the Indians in the final seconds on January 21, so they are hoping to stay on top of things throughout the entirety of the game, including the last eight minutes.
