OXFORD — Kick off your Super Bowl parties and enrich your Valentine’s Day dinner with food made from local meats, cheeses, greens, breads, and baked goods.
The vendors at the Oxford Farmers’ Market have all your needs covered, and you’ll be showing your love for local farmers, food producers, and artisans when you buy their products.
Whether you’re cooking a T-bone steak for a candle-lit dinner, browning ground beef for nachos, hankering for a super-tasty grilled cheese sandwich with fresh-baked bread and local cheeses, or just craving a glass of ice-cold chocolate milk made at a local dairy, everything you make and serve will taste better if locally sourced. And it will feel better, too, like sending a love letter to your community.
And to warm up your weekend, there will be homemade soups and yeasted rolls (to eat in or to take away) at the Market this Saturday, as well as music by folk fiddler John Potocnik.
Shop the Oxford Winter Farmers’ Market this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the United Church of Oxford, located at 16 Fort Hill Park. Enter on Merchant Street, across from the Middle School parking lot, where there is plenty of parking.
