SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville Lady Marauders hosted Waterville for senior night on Thursday evening, where they suffered another tough loss at the hands of the Indians. This time in a 39-34 deficit.
Prior to the game, S-E honored seniors Kayleigh Rood and Trinity Thornton. Both were applauded for their hard work and dedication to the Marauders basketball program. Both ladies also made the first two baskets of the game.
Both teams played competitively in the first half with S-E taking a brief 17-16 lead at halftime. Waterville returned and was ready to play to start the second half as they held S-E to four points in the third quarter. S-E tried to fight back in the fourth quarter, but efforts were cut short.
