KIRKWOOD – The Norwich Purple Tornado bowling teams were back in action at Sunset Lanes to take on Windsor for the final regular season match of the 2022-2023 season. The Norwich boys swept Windsor while the girls lost 5-0. Both teams will be competing in the STAC end of season bowling tournament on February 6 at Midway Lanes in Vestal before a potential run at Sectionals.
In the boys 5-0 win, Dawson Robinson led Norwich with a 599 high series, including a 226 in the first game and a 224 in the second game to help secure the sweep. Aidan Smith, who spent the season with the JV team, stepped up in his stint with varsity as he finished behind Robinson with a 588 series. He bowled a 205 in the first game with 190s in the final two.
Andie Mucha led the girls with a 535 series and bowled a 215 in the final game. Chickie Roque finished second on the team with a 465. Windsor girls bowled consistently as a team with scores ranging in the high 400s to the leading bowler, Aubriana Tyler’s 659.
