BOYS BASKETBALL:
S-E falls to South Lewis in sectionals
SOUTH LEWIS – After picking up a win to end the regular season, the Sherburne-Earlville Marauders boys basketball team faced South Lewis in the first round of sectionals. In Thursday’s game, S-E’s season ended in a 53-48 deficit.
S-E and South Lewis played consistently throughout the contest with the Falcons taking a brief 29-28 lead at halftime. S-E tried their best to strive in the final 16 minutes, but could not stand their ground on defense to hold South Lewis.
Darren Miles led the Marauders with 14 points as he and Nick Hull (12 points) both hit four three’s in the contest. Senior Jack Rodman scored 10 points while Rylan Sigman had eight points in their final game.
S-E had a challenging season, ending with a 5-16 record and were fortunate enough to make sectionals in their league. Good luck to all the seniors.
