UNATEGO – After a big win over Walton, the Afton Crimson Knights baseball team went straight back to work against Unatego. Both teams had a strong start, but it was the Spartans that won the game 1-0 on a run in the fourth inning.

Afton’s Matt Carman was the only base runner offensively. He reached on a walk and produced the only hit for the Crimson Knights in the fourth inning. Unatego sat down 18 Afton batters on strikeouts.

Ryan Wright had an impressive outing for Afton, despite losing the battle. He only allowed the one run on four hits, walked four batters and struck out eight through six innings.

Afton (2-1) will host Harpursville on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
