HANCOCK – Coming off two hard losses, the Oxford Blackhawks tennis team got back on track with a 4-0 shutout against Deposit-Hancock on Friday. Oxford now prepares for the final three scheduled matches on their 2023 schedule.

In the singles, Senior John Rovente defeated Alexis Mead in two sets by a score of 6-0 while fellow senior Madalyn Barrows won against Sophia Aqouaouch in the same 6-0 shutout manner.

Sam Hendricks rounded out the singles with a 6-0,6-0 win over Amadalee Rodriguez.

Oxford’s Jill and Jocie Finch played in the only doubles match of the afternoon against Madison Schloss and Noah Riter. Jill and Jocie won both sets 6-0 and 6-1.

Oxford travels to Delhi on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
