NORWICH - The City of Norwich Fire Department responded to an electrical garage fire in Norwich on Saturday night. The fire was quickly put out by fire officials, and there were no injuries, said Fire Chief Jan Papelino.

According to a report shared by Firefighter Gerald Parry, Norwich fire officials received aid from North Norwich, Plymouth and county emergency services to distinguish a structure fire at 11 Barnes Street, which also included two cars.

Fire crews arrived at the scene at 6:59 p.m. on Saturday and knocked down and controlled the fire three minutes later, the report said.
