NORWICH –Norwich and Chenango County natives know the Red Roof Inn, formerly known as Howard Johnson’s, as a staple of the community. It has housed travelers and event attendees from the annual Blues Festival and Colorscape Chenango to Gus Macker. Currently, the hotel is under a major renovation, and is proud to show its progress to the community. A Commerce Chenango member since 1994, The Red Roof Inn is hosting an upcoming After Hours Program.
The Red Roof Inn at 75 N Broad Street in Norwich is excited to show the renovations at Commerce Chenango’s Business After Hours members on June 27th from 4:30-6:30 PM. Designed to be a casual networking opportunity for Chamber members, this is an opportunity to see what the new Red Roof Inn has to offer the local community and to network with fellow members. There will be a grazing table, cookies, gently guided room tours, door prizes, and an all-around celebration of forward progress.
The hotel began its transition to a Red Roof Inn in December of 2019, and is a leader in the economy hotel market with both franchised and corporate-owned properties. The Norwich location currently offers both suites with full kitchens and seating area along with typical hotel rooms.
The hotel is excited for the new chapter that will begin once the renovations are complete. The hotel pool and terrace room/fitness center are still under renovation and, along with the ballroom, will open in a timely manner.
