SHERBURNE — With summer in full swing, Rogers Center has a few spots remaining for any kids looking to get out of the house and onto the trails. Rain or shine, campers will be exploring the outdoors running, and enjoying all that nature has to offer.
Rogers Center offers six unique weeks of camp for children ages 3 to 11, beginning July 10 and ending August 25. These include The Joys of Summer, Amazing Adventures, Call of the Wild, The Magical Woodland, and for the first time a seventh week entirely dedicated to campers ages 12 to 15 titled “Cabinet of Curiosities."
Summer camp at Rogers is made possible by the unique relationship between Rogers and the Department of Environmental Conservation, which helps to fund up to eight college interns each year. Further support is provided by the RC Smith Foundation. Rising environmentalists are able to hone their skills in education as they teach upstate New York children how to play and learn in nature.
