NEW BERLIN - After making a stand these past few weeks, Dale Lund and Ron Anderson of Rustic Ridge finally land in the top spot of the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club. The pair moved from sixth place to second when active play resumed in late June and continue to keep pushing along.

Stafford Builders (Al Bush/Al Patten), who held the top spot in the previous week, moved down one spot to second and are tied with a 23-13 record with Roger’s Best Value Tire & Auto. Stafford Builders hold a higher point advantage to be in second place (3208 to 2626). Potter’s Tires and Carpet Protectors round out the top five teams.

Rustic Ridge had an all-around successful night, sweeping all the team leaderboards, including a high series handicap score of 645. Dale Lund also swept both men’s high singles and high series. His highest game was a 106 over Webster Paving’s Bob Wells’ 80. Lund’s high series was a 277 over Wells’ 216.

Cindy Miller took both the women’s high singles and high series as Kate Lloyd was stumped off the leaderboards for the first time in a few weeks. However, Lloyd’s partner Tresta Smith held the second position in both singles and high series. Miller had the highest singles game of a 60 while Smith scored a 50 and Sheryl Thurston with a 40. Miller achieved the highest series of a 175 over Smith’s 127 and Thurston’s 112.
