SHERBURNE — Every day is complete once something new is learned. At Rogers Center, we like to expand that to three.

Join Rogers Center’s special guest Bernie Freytag this month on July 20, at 7 p.m. He will be sharing his insight into nature and art coexisting in the landscape of the imagination. With a professional career in graphic design, Bernie has always loved all aspects of the arts. Later in life, he became a writer and illustrator to share his stories of blending his art with nature to reconnect with his sense of wonder.

“I consider myself a doodler, a rambler, a wanderer, and ultimately a ponderer. Inspiration speaks to me in a million different ways daily, and I love figuring out what that all might mean,” said Bernie.

Story Continues Below Adverts

Since then he has published four books, one of which won the Feathered Quill book awards titled “Find Wonder in the Ordinary: A Kid’s Book for Adults.” A book that reminds people that they need to step away from the daily grind to enjoy the world around them. To embrace creativity and wonder of the world that they had as children.

Bernie will also have copies of his books, coloring books, and prints for sale.

This program is $5 for members and $7 for the general public. For more information or to reserve your spot call 607-674-4733 or email ellen@friendsofrogers.org.
