EARLVILLE — Earlville Opera House (EOH) is pleased to host the opening of our annual Quilt Show from 1 to 3 p.m. this Saturday, July 15 in our East and West Galleries.
This highly anticipated show features the rich heritage of New York State’s quilting culture and will be on display through September 9. Quilts can be viewed Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 12 to 3 p.m. Gallery visits are always free and open to the public.
While on site, you can browse our unique Artisan Gift Shop, windowsill art, and the 1892 historic theater which is home to a stellar 2023 season with remaining performances by Gary Talley, The Wailers, Marcia Ball, Grateful Upstate Toodleloo, and Squirrel Nut Zippers!
Also, on site this Summer is a satellite exhibit of select student artists from “On the Trail of Art," Butternut Valley Alliance’s annual "Gallery in the Forest" project. In its third year, this event is about connections - student artists with professionals, arts with the natural environment, and communities with each other. Come view this exceptional youth artwork and be amazed at this young and emerging talent.

EOH was founded in 1972 as a non-profit community service organization promoting the arts in rural Central New York by offering programs of cultural, educational, and historical significance. This is achieved while striving to preserve the architectural and historic integrity of the EOH, a unique second-story theater constructed in 1892.
Key EOH programs include a wide range of eclectic, culturally diverse visual and performing arts programs represented through rotating gallery exhibitions; a live performance series; arts workshops; classes and arts education opportunities for all populations; and managing the Broome, Chenango and Otsego Statewide Community Regrants (SCR) Program.
EOH was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Our mission is “to enrich the Central New York community through the visual and performing arts while preserving our historic building for future generations.” Visit our website for membership and volunteer opportunities and for ways you can engage in and support community arts.
Earlville Opera House Arts Center is located at 18 East Main Street in the charming Village of Earlville, NY. Check our website for information on our programs and services, also like us on Facebook and Instagram.
Events are made possible, in part, with public funds from New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor of New York and the New York State Legislature, and through the generosity of EOH members. Special thanks to Golden Artist Colors for their support of our Visual Arts Program.
