WHITNEY POINT – Since making needed adjustments, the Bainbridge-Guilford Thunder PONY League team has won its last three played games, including Monday’s 17-2 win over Whitney Point. B-G scored at least two runs in every inning to hold a steady lead through six innings.

B-G was also fierce when it came to base running with scoring multiple runs on steals of home plate. The Thunder saw a stellar performance from Brayden Swartwout as well. He collected seven RBIs and went 4-for-5 at the plate with four doubles. He had three two-run doubles and one RBI double in the third inning. Parker Buttice and Kaiden Seymour helped out with RBI doubles themselves while Troy Cannistra also contributed a RBI single in the five-run inning.

Whitney Point scored two runs with two steals of home in the loss.

Kaiden Seymour earned the start on the mound for B-G and went four innings, allowing one run on two hits, and struck out eight batters. Brayden Swartwout made his appearance in relief after a great outing at the plate. Swartwout allowed one run on one hit and struck out three batters in his one inning of work.

B-G is currently tied with Sherburne in third place with a 3-5 record in the Otsenango PONY Division A standings. It is currently unknown if both teams will have to play each other to break the tie or if one or both teams will advance to the playoffs. The playoffs schedule should be announced by the start of Quarterfinals on Thursday.
