CHENANGO COUNTY – The 2023 PONY League regular season wrapped up on Monday with top teams anxious to know the seeding and playoff schedule. There are two teams from Chenango County playing in the Quarterfinals this Thursday evening out of the ‘A’ division.

The Norwich ‘A’ team finished first in the division with a 7-1 record with its only loss to Oxford. Norwich is now prepared to host Richfield Springs (6-4) out of the ‘B’ division.

The Oxford Blackhawks finished second to Norwich with a 6-2 record. They will travel to Schenevus, the leader of the ‘B’ division (8-2).

Both games are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. The Winners will then face the winners of Oneonta/Cooperstown and Unatego/Edmeston games. The Semi-finals will take place on Saturday with the Championship on Tuesday. These advanced rounds will be held at Damaschke Field in Oneonta, home of the Oneonta Outlaws, summer collegiate baseball team.
