NEW BERLIN - For the past two weeks, it’s been all Dale Lund and Ron Anderson of Rustic Ridge. The pair continue to maintain the lead in the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club. They do have tough competition strictly behind them with Stafford Builders and Potter’s Tires a half game back.

Stafford Builders (Al Bush/Al Patten), remain in the second spot and are tied with a 26-14 record with Potter’s Tires (Billy Schermerhorn/ John Edwards). Stafford Builders hold a higher point advantage to be in second place (3604 to 3474). Roger’s Best Value Tire & Auto and Prolifiq Sign Studio round out the top five teams.

Lund and Anderson’s Rustic Ridge swept the team leaderboards while Lund also took both men’s high singles and high series. Lund’s highest game was an 82 over Anderson’s 77 and Lee Coon’s 76. His high series was a 222 over Coon’s 218 and Al Patten’s 214.

Rustic Ridge finished atop the team singles with a high game of 159 and also achieved a high of 408 to take the series victory.

For the team handicap leaderboards, Carey’s AG Spreader Service earned the high singles victory while Stafford Builders picked up the team series win. Carey’s Darla Smith and Sheryl Thurston had a high game of a 219 over Prolifiq Sign Studio and Potter’s Tires’ 213. The two Als (Bush and Patten) from Stafford Builders achieved a 612 in the high series over Prolifiq and Lloyd’s BBQ’s 600.

Kate Lloyd stepped back into the leader spot for both the women’s high singles and series. Her highest game of the night was an 80 while Cindy Miller, the leader last week, finished behind with a 60 and Lloyd’s partner Tresta Smith in third with a 48. Lloyd scored a club-high 223 in the series over Miller’s 160 and Carey’s Sheryl Thurston’s 117.

The South New Berlin Horseshoe Club meets every Wednesday night.
