CHENANGO COUNTY – The 2023 annual Otsenango PONY League All-star game will be played on Wednesday, July 26 at 5 p.m. from Doubleday Field in Cooperstown.

Players and coaches are to report by 4 p.m. and warmups will be starting at 4:30 p.m. The game will be nine innings and all players will bat and be allowed to move in and out of different defensive positions, according to the league organizers. There will be an award presentation on the field afterwards.

The All-star game coaches will be Norwich’s Zach Alpern, assisted by Schenevus’ Jim Gaske and Unatego’s Steve Vandermark, assisted by Oneonta’s Cody Wamsley. Norwich and Unatego are playing for the PONY League Championship on Tuesday evening.

Every team from the Otsenango PONY League will have at least one player representing them while playoff teams can send an additional player. Semi-finalists are sending a total of three players while Norwich and Unatego have four players each. Congratulations to everyone.
