NEW BERLIN – A 56-year-old male was rushed to Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown on Monday evening with severe dog bites to his arm.
The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call relating to a dog bite around 9 p.m., although responders said the attack happened in Otsego County, just over the New Berlin town line.
According to Lieutenant Jeffrey Barton of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, the man was being driven to Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich when the driver decided to pull into the Stewart’s Shop in New Berlin and call an ambulance due to the severity of the man’s wound.
