NORWICH — The Norwich City Band performs concerts at 7 p.m on Friday evenings until August 11 in East Park located at Broad Street and Main.

On August 12, at noon, the band will play at the Chenango County Fairgrounds. On August 20 at 3 p.m. their performance will be at Pathfinder Village in Edmonston and on October 2 at 7 p.m. they will perform at the UCC Church in Norwich; for the Monday Evening Music Club.

Conductor Gary Solomon said, “In the Norwich City Band there are 35 members. Its been bigger and smaller but what is important is the performance. You work with what you have and most are retired music teachers from public schools and some of our students over the years. Some people from the community join too; they’re not professionals but they join because they just love to play.”
