NEW BERLIN - Over the past several weeks, Rustic Ridge’s Dale Lund and Ron Anderson and Roger’s Best Value Tire & Auto’s Cindy Miller and Joe Miller have been battling it out for the top spot in the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club.

After the Millers took a brief one game lead last week, Rustic Ridge battled back and won all four games to tie with a 39.5-16.5 record. Rustic Ridge holds an outstanding points advantage of 6091 to Roger’s 4212.

There are also many ties throughout the standings, especially among the top five teams. Stafford Builders (Al Bush/Al Patten) are tied with Billy Schermerhorn and John Edwards of Potter’s Tires with a 34-22 record for third place and both teams aren’t too far from the top spot. Stafford Builders sits at third overall due to a points advantage. Fun Lovers (Tim Lidell and Mike Grant) and Webster Paving’s Ed Webster and Bob Wells found themselves tied again for fifth place at 32.5-23.5 with Fun Lovers holding the fifth spot overall due to a points advantage.

Dale Lund and Ron Anderson’s Rustic Ridge also swept all team leaderboards this week, including the team handicap. Lund continued dominating both the men’s high singles and high series. Lund’s highest game was an impressive 106 over Anderson’s 86 and John Edwards’ 82. Lund’s high series was a 303 over Anderson’s 244 and Al Patten and Lee Coon both had a 216.

Kate Lloyd earned both the high singles and high series victories for the women. Lloyd’s highest game was a 78 over Sheryl Thurston’s 58 and Cindy Miller’s 53. Lloyd won the high series with a 219 as Thurston finished with a 167 and Miller with a 150.
