NORWICH — St. Bart's Parish Center, located at 73 Main St. in Norwich, is currently hosting the International Exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles of the World.

The exhibit runs for six weeks, now through September 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m Tuesday through Friday; 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Knights of Columbus Grand Knight Jim Reynolds and Faith Director Dwayne Williams wish to welcome all people to the Eucharistic Miracle and will be present to share in discussion and answer any questions.

Reynolds explained the exhibit contains 70 panels of historical descriptions, illustrations, photographs, and facts with eye witness accounts that detail the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the spiritual communion with God in taking of the host; the bread as his body and the wine as his blood.

According to the exhibit, numerous miracles have been documented and some claim real human fibers and AB blood type were found believed to be that of Jesus. It also claims the miracles have been scientifically proven and are recognized by the Catholic Church.

“It’s educational and is a real piece of history,” Reynolds said. “By viewing the collection, you can experience the places and history of these documented miracles and learn about the interesting stories behind them.”

“I believe this will be a real blessing for all people in the community and it is free and open to the public — not just parishioners of the church and not just Catholics, but all faiths, even those with no religious background,” he added.

Knights of Columbus Faith Director Dwayne Williams said this is a good cause and it’s important to let people know about the true passage of Jesus.

“People need to know that Jesus loves them so much. He is a God made man and especially in the Eucharist, these symbols are truly Jesus. He is so good and merciful and gave his precious life for our salvation,” Williams added.

The exhibit is a traveling 70-panel display designed by Blessed Carlo Acutis. He started going to mass at age seven and was researching Eucharistic miracles by age 11.

It is documented that Acutis would ask why we see miles of people waiting to go to a rock concert or a movie but not see the same lines in front of the Eucharistic Christ. He often said that people don’t realize what they’re missing, otherwise churches would be so full you would not be able to get into them.

During the course of his studies, Acutis developed a website to share the power of the Eucharist with others. Virtual visits of the miraculous sites and panels can be found out www.carloacutis.com or www.miracolieucaristici.org.

In 2006, at the young age of 15, he was diagnosed with leukemia and passed away. In 2020, he was the first millennial to be beautified by the Catholic Church and his love of God continues to inspire others.

The exhibit is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Robert E. McNeil Council 211 in Norwich.
