HARPURSVILLE – Coming off winning the 2022 MAC League golf tournament, the Greene Trojans opened the 2023 season on the road against Harpursville/Afton. With it’s two leading golfers returning this season, Greene picked up the 221-259 victory.

Parker Flanagan and Lincoln Youngs, who both finished on top of the MAC in 2022, had a great start in the season opener. Youngs led Greene and tied with the top opponent, finishing the match with a 35 on the par-34 course. Flanagan finished behind with a 38 as Harpursville/Afton’s other golfers ranged from a 43 to a 69.

Greene’s Austin Dehaan shot a 43 as Noah Symons had a 49. Logan Roth capped off Greene’s scoring with a 56. Hunter Becker also received playing time as the Trojans’ sixth golfer.

Greene looks to keep things rolling as they head home to face Bainbridge-Guilford on Friday at 9 a.m. from their own Genegantslet Golf Course.
