CANTON – Nicole Jeffrey a Norwich, NY native and 2023 graduate of St. Lawrence University has been selected as the St. Lawrence University women's basketball graduate assistant coach for the 2023-24 season.
Nicole Jeffrey is a 2019 Norwich High School graduate and the daughter of Monica and Robert M. Jeffrey of Norwich. Nicole was a tri-sport athlete and honor student at Norwich High School.
"I and our players are very excited to add Nicole to our program," said St. Lawrence University women’s head coach Dan Roiger. "Nicole submitted an outstanding resume after graduating Magna Cum Laude from St. Lawrence, and her application stood out from the numerous others I received.
As a player, Nicole was always one of the hardest workers physically and mentally in our program, and probably one of the top five in my 25-year coaching experience. She is very enthusiastic and always seems to have a positive and infectious nature. Perhaps most importantly, I always felt like Nicole put the team in front of herself. She wanted to and often did contribute on the floor, but if not, she wasn't worried about her personal accolades and just wanted success for the team. All these factors exhibited as a player really just displayed Nicole's personality and because of that, I think she will do an excellent job as an assistant for our program. I am fortunate and excited to have her."
As a player, Jeffrey played in 51 games over two seasons for the Scarlet and Brown. She totaled 95 points, 173 rebounds, 44 assists, 14 blocks and 36 steals. She also earned Liberty League All-Academic honors for her success in the classroom.
The Norwich, New York native graduated with a Bachelor's degree with a major in communications and a minor in Sports Studies and Exercise Science from St. Lawrence University located in Canton, NY.
