Oxford Golf Defeats B-G

OXFORD – After a win against Harpursville/Afton on Friday, the Oxford Blackhawks returned to Bluestone to face Bainbridge-Guilford. Oxford improved to 4-1, with the only loss to Sidney, in the 204-245 victory.

Bennett Paden continues to be the top medalist for the Blackhawks as he shot a 39 with teammate Sylas Emerson right behind him with a 40. Degan Endress finished with a 41 on the par-34 course as Kyle Benjamin and Caden Rifanburg both shot a 42 to round out the scoring. Jerry Hornbeck also received playing time.

The Bobcats were led by Michael Lipani with a 44 as Easton Porter shot a 45 to follow. Collin Dicks had a 48 while Owen Fleming finished with a 52. Brock Porter capped off the scoring with a 56 as Gavin Dicks received playing time as the sixth golfer.

Oxford (4-1) will head on over to the Genny to face neighbors Greene this afternoon at 3:45 p.m. while B-G’s (1-2) next match is to be determined with a few cancellations on their schedule.

Sherburne-Earlville boys soccer falls to Utica Academy of Science 2-0. Both teams were scoreless in the first half. S-E Goalkeeper Avery Parsons made 10 saves in the loss.

Unadilla Valley football falls to Trumansburg 53-0 in the rescheduled game.

Greene Volleyball falls to Delhi 3-0. Camric Williams leads the Trojans with three digs.

UV/GMU boys soccer falls to Worchester on the road 2-0.

Sherburne-Earlville field hockey falls to Sidney 9-0.
