BAINBRIDGE – Coming off two tournament wins, the Bainbridge-Guilford girls soccer team hosted Greene for the first MAC league contest of the season. The Bobcats kept the ball rolling with a 6-2 victory to stay undefeated at 6-0.
B-G took a 3-2 lead at halftime with goals from Breanna Casey, Johnna Henderson, and Gabby Cuozzo. Casey’s and Cuozzo’s goal came off assists by Johnna, who had a total of three in the contest.
Greene’s Cali Knapp scored both goals in the first half with one assisted by Audra Doll.
The Bobcats pushed through to score three unanswered goals in the second half. Casey found the net again off a pass from teammate Brenna George. Keelan Ammon received a pass from Johnna to contribute with a goal.
B-G looks to stay strong as they travel to UV on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. while Greene hosts Walton/Downsville on Monday at 5 p.m.

Norwich Girls swimming falls to Waverly 105-56. Nina Kman wins the 200 yard individual medley (IM) and the 100 yard butterfly events. Mikayla Sastri finished second in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle, Aurora Shtrauch earned second and just missed first in the 100 yard backstroke, and Julia Llewellyn took second in both the 200 and the 500 yard freestyle.
