NORWICH – The Norwich Purple Tornado girls soccer team hosted Oneonta on Wednesday night, falling short 5-4. Norwich pushed through to the very end in attempt to tie the game at the end of regulation, but Josey Ryan’s kick went wide.
Josey led the Purple Tornado with two goals and received a free kick with 10 seconds left in the contest. Emma Urgo and Bella Dilorio also contributed with goals in the loss.
Bella’s goal helped tie the game at four halfway through the second half of play, but the Yellowjackets scored shortly after and held on.
Norwich (1-4) looks to bounce back on the road against Sus Valley on Saturday at 1 p.m.
