OXFORD – After losing their undefeated streak to Unadilla Valley last Thursday, the Bainbridge-Guilford girls soccer team resumed MAC league play against Oxford. The game had a later start time of 7 p.m. and was played under Oxford’s stadium lights. B-G picked up their seventh win of the season in the 5-1 victory over the Blackhawks.

Johnna Henderson led the Bobcats with two goals while Jayslin Henderson, Gabby Cuozzo, and Breanna Casey all had one goal a piece.

Oxford’s Kayla Knapp continues to push through offensively as she scored the team’s lone goal off an assist from Taegan Manwarren.

“We played another good game. B-G is an excellent team with a lot of talent,” said Coach Rachel Seiler following the game.

Oxford remains hopeful as they sit in third place in the MAC league with a 1-3 divisional record and a 2-5 record overall. B-G fell to UV in the divisional record with the one loss and by one game, but are still contenders with a strong 7-1 record.

B-G heads to Sidney on Thursday at 7 p.m. while Oxford travels to Delhi on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
