Norwich Girls Tennis Tie With Windsor

NORWICH – Coming off a win against Owego, the Norwich Purple Tornado girls tennis team hosted Windsor in the final home match of the season. Both teams tied at three points apiece.

Norwich’s two points came off forfeits while Finley Farrow won the fourth singles of the day with impressive sets of 6-1 and 6-3. The freshman has seen a lot of improvement this season in just a few matches played.

The young Norwich team, with one upperclassman, stands at 2-5 on the season with six road matches ahead. Norwich heads to Sus Valley on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Other Scores:

Greene Golf defeats Bainbridge-Guilford 219-247. Parker Flanagan shot a low 35 for Greene while Michael Lipani led the Bobcats with a 42.

Sherburne-Earlville boys soccer falls to Canastota 4-1. S-E’s William Leinbach scored the lone goal while Avery Parsons and Owen Brown split time in net and combined with six saves in the loss.

From Tuesday:

Unadilla Valley Volleyball falls to Deposit/Hancock 3-0. Shannon Gilbert led the Storm with five aces, six digs, and four assists in the loss.

Otselic Valley girls blank Madison 4-0. Rachel Loomis, Esperanza Ponce, Susannah Lyon, and Makayla Mills all scored goals. Carlie Golden made eight saves in the shutout victory.
