NORWICH –  Commerce Chenango with event sponsor Steel Sales, Inc., will host the Annual Manufacturer Appreciation Event on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich.

As part of Manufacturing Week, this event honors the many manufacturers operating within Chenango County for their continued support of the community and local economy.

One way to honor manufacturers is through the presentation of the valued ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ award. This year, the award will be presented to Chobani, located in New Berlin. 

Chobani is an exemplary case of Chenango County manufacturing, but they are far from alone in that category.

Chobani has been a part of the community ever since the first cup of yogurt rolled off the line in 2007 and they continue to support local events throughout the year. Their attention and efforts are set on ending childhood hunger and food insecurity, by making better food accessible to more people in Chenango County and beyond.

Chobani’s Community Impact Manager, Don Brown said “Our mission is the focus of our community impact plan. No child should go hungry and Chobani is a force for good by donating to local food banks, food pantries, schools, food drives, and more.”
