NORWICH - Commerce Chenango held its Manufacturer Appreciation Event on Thursday night, and bestowed its ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ award to Chobani for the business’s continued support of the Chenango County Community and for its humanitarian efforts around the world.

The event was held at the Northeast Classic Car Museum in the City of Norwich, and sponsored by Steel Sales, Inc., along with Raymond Corporation, NBT Insurance Agency, and NBT Bank.

According to Commerce Chenango President and CEO Sal Testani, the decision to honor Chobani was mainly inspired by the company’s success and valued presence as a business neighbor in the Chenango County area, region, and the world.

“Chobani helps drive our economy, creating diverse career options, supporting our community events, pushing innovation in their field, and most importantly, choosing to call Chenango County home,” he added.

Chobani Senior Director of Manufacturing Bill Cooper represented the company at the event, and accepted the award on behalf of all Chobani employees.
